A favicon for Josh’s Bistro blog

A favicon is easier to create than most people would imagine. The simplest way I know, and the way I created one for Josh’s Bistro blog, is to go to the Favicon Generator amongst the online tools at Dynamic Drive and follow the instructions, which are upload an image and convert to a 16 pixel by 16 pixel favicon image. I just used the beginning of the Josh’s Bistro logo.

If you need a quick logo, just go to another excellent site ~ Cooltext. Cooltext has been around for ages helping people turn out great looking, professional logos for their online businesses.

Oh, if you don’t know what a favicon is, it’s one of those tiny little images that pops up to the left of the URL. Still not sure? Have a look at the screen where you type in the name of the web site, like (typing) www. joshsbistroblog.com … see the little image of a red cursive “J” on a white background to the left? That’s a favicon.
